Corporate Social Responsibility

A&M strives for excellence in our fields of practice but we also embrace a platform of corporate social responsibility which includes:

Philanthropy:

A&M believes in giving back, and we do so by supporting charities that have meaning to our employees, our clients, and the communities we serve.  While most of our corporate philanthropy efforts are kept private so as not to undermine the intent, there are a few of our charities that benefit from our willingness to share.  One such organization is the New England Center for Children (NECC), a private, nonprofit autism education center dedicated to transforming the lives of children with autism worldwide through education, research, and technology.

Each year, A&M hosts a golf invitational to benefit NECC.  Our tournament is an "invitation only" event for clients and industry partners, and has become one of the most coveted invitations in the industry.  This year we look forward to hosting our 18th Invitational on behalf of NECC.

Responsible Design:

It's in our mission statement and part of every project that we undertake and for us it goes beyond just complying with environmental regulations and requirements.  Responsible design includes being honest with our clients, being innovative in our approaches to engineering design, and being willing to support sustainable construction and renovation initiatives.  A&M promotes multidisciplinary, complete system, integrated and multi‐objective goals in all phases of project planning, design, construction, operations, and renovation.  A&M is a proud member of the US Green Building Council and we continue to educate ourselves on sustainable solutions, materials and approaches that benefit all.

Reducing Waste in our Offices:

We have adopted the following policies in order to reduce waste in our office and promote reuse and recycling of office goods:

  • Recycle all waste materials as possible.
  • Reduce the amount of waste material produced.
  • Use electronic record keeping, avoiding the use of paper whenever possible.
  • Recycle electronic equipment.
  • Recycle reproduction supplies including ink cartridges and packaging.
  • Purchase products made with recycled materials and green manufacturing processes.
