Services: Land Surveying, Civil Engineering

A&M in partnership with Pro Con, Inc. has provided land survey, civil engineering design, permitting and landscape architectural services for this five-story, 123 unit hotel project. The project site encompassed three lots located on Monsignor O’Brien Highway and consisted of residential, light industrial and commercial properties. The re-development gives an underutilized urban area within the City of Cambridge new life.

The new building is located along the southern portion of the site closest to the roadway with associated parking and landscape areas occupying the remainder of the site. The hotel has a footprint of approximately 9,900 sf and a gross floor area of nearly 49,000 sf. The parking area is located adjacent to the hotel and expands throughout the northern portion of the site, totaling 55 parking spaces.

A new closed drainage system was incorporated within the project by utilizing existing connections to the municipal system consisting of a 96”x100” municipal combined sewer overflow. Permitting included Site Plan and MassDOT Access Permit for work within Monsignor O’Brien Highway.
