Legacy Place - Dedham, MA
Retail & Mixed Use
Making Legacy Place into a reality involved site engineering, land survey and extensive Federal, State and local permitting. The total project area encompasses approximately 47 acres of property in Dedham and consisted of the consolidation of several smaller parcels to establish the development area and re-development of the former National Amusement’s Showcase Cinema and corporate headquarters into an open-air life style center with approximately 734,000 square feet of mixed-use gross floor area. The project also involved the reconstruction and realignment of Enterprise Drive / Commercial Circle, the construction of an elevated parking deck, 2,928 parking spaces, access drives, site utilities, reconstruction of drainage systems, low impact environmental components including rainwater capture, bio-retention areas and wetland restoration to include LEED components and sustainable design.
Legacy Place earned the International Council of Shopping Center’s Top U.S. Honors for Innovative Design and Development; it won the silver medal for sustainability and was named Retail Project of the Year by Boston/SF News.
