Lexington Labs - Lexington, MA

Allen & Major Associates, Inc. provided civil engineering and landscape architectural design services for Lexington Labs, a four-building, 300,000-square-foot lab R&D and creative office campus at 10 Maguire Road in Lexington, MA.  A&M secured Site Plan Approval, a Special Permit with the Zoning Board, and a Stormwater permit from Conservation.  Civil engineering efforts included coordination with the Town of Lexington Planning Department to improve pedestrian circulation and access to the site.  Landscape architectural design included extensive hardscape additions for gathering spaces, incorporating patterned plantings of native perennials, shrubs, and trees, and improved ADA accessibility at entrances and regresses.  Additional design considerations included open space for occasional corporate gatherings and Food Truck accessibility. , outdoor seating areas, and furnishings for coffee breaks, lunches, or informal meetings.  The unique addition of a fire pit seating area, with outdoor string lighting provides ambiance and warmth in the spring, fall, and even winter seasons.
