Mallory Ridge – Bloomfield, CT

A&M partnered with Barton Partners and New England Construction to provide structural design, construction documents and construction administration for this 78-unit, $13 million class A garden style housing community. The project features four separate three story residential buildings, a club house, a fitness center with in-ground pool and cabana, community picnic and sundeck areas and a carport.  Structural design included conventional shallow depth strip and spread footing foundation and slab-on-grade floor construction.  Wood framed bearing walls supporting wood floor and roof trusses were utilized as the superstructure and wood structural panel shear walls as the lateral force resisting system. The project was designed and overseen by Benjamin M. Schlick, PE, LEED AP BD+C, Structural Department Head, Lakeville, MA.
