Extensive renovation and re-use of an existing shopping center located at 9 Plaistow Road (Rt. 125) in Plaistow, New Hampshire. The project site totaled 20.39± acres and encompassed two separate strip mall type buildings. The overall project involved rehabilitating of one entire 61,394± square foot building section, demolishing a 78,090± square foot section of the other building section and constructing 12,000 square feet of new retail space. Also included was the rehabilitation of associated parking and utilities.

Since the total disturbance associated with the construction activities exceeded 100,000 square feet an Alteration of Terrain (AoT) Permit was required from New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES). This required that the storm water design resulted in no increase to the total rate of runoff during all storm events. This was accomplished by the conversion of some of the parking area to grass and landscaped area for an overall reduction in impervious area. In addition to this requirement, performance standards were met by implementing appropriate Best Management Practices (BMPs). Additional permitting included Site Plan Application and corresponding waivers.
