Silver Square – Dover, NH

Retail & Mixed Use

Services: Land Surveying, Civil Engineering

Located at 181 Silver Street in Dover, New Hampshire, the home of the old Macintosh College campus, it encompasses approximately 19.46± acres.  The site is located just south of the on-ramp to NH Route 16 with the majority of the site having been previously developed to support the former academic facility, including several large commercial buildings and a large scale parking area. The first phase of this mixed use development included renovating an existing building into a 66 key boutique hotel, a new 76-unit assisted living facility, and a Dunkin Donuts.  The second phase will include a proposed medical office pad, and a bank pad.  Extensive pedestrian inter-connectivity was created throughout the project to allow for cross sharing of parking between the related uses on the site.

Extensive land survey was required and included an off-site survey for a traffic circle which included 250 +/- linear feet of new roadway, 60 feet on both sides of roadway, culverts on the south side of roadway, NH DOT right-of-way, and current Urban Compact limits, center line data from NH DOT, utility line height and sags at the proposed entrance. The project required extensive research through the city assessor's office, NH Department of Transportation, city engineer's office, and the County Registry of Deeds.
