Southcoast Health Systems – Wareham, MA

Site engineering was completed on this 67,000 square foot, $13.9 million dollar medical office building for AD Makepeace Development Services in Wareham. Part of the mixed-use development known as Rosebrook Business Park, the first building constructed is the home of South Coast Health System. Two additional commercial buildings are planned to round out the first phase of the park.

Environmental considerations including Low Impact Design techniques were incorporated into the design to mitigate environmental impact to the surrounding parcels including incorporating permeable pavement within areas of the parking surface.  Landscape architectural design included bioretention basins to retain stormwater before it is infiltrated or discharged downstream, planning and landscape design for the building and surrounding site.

The 6.72 acre Rosebrook Business Park site was named for the stream that travels along the Cranberry bogs that were left as part of the site and will continue to be farmed.  A second phase, mixed-use and retail center to be called Rosewood Place is in the planning stages and expected to include a full-service hotel, banking, retail, housing and additional office space.
