The VAL - Billerica, MA

The Val is a modern 200-unit residential development located at 164 Lexington Road in Billerica, MA.  Built on a little over 4 acres the five-story building boasts a two-story garage with 281 spaces, a 2,750 SF lobby and retail area, and luxury amenities including a courtyard, pool, and a two-story fitness center. 

A&M provided civil engineering efforts including stormwater mitigation, utility improvements, and construction support.  A full site feasibility study helped inform the client during the discovery phase of the project.  All required permitting was successfully achieved and included Mass Chapter 40B, Conservation Commission, and NPDES. 

Extensive coordination with MassDOT was also provided due to proposed work along Middlesex Turnpike abutting the site.  A&M provided an alternative design for egress and access which was implemented.  Once MassDOT completed its work adjacent to our site, the sidewalk and entrances were revised to match.
