West Suburban YMCA Camp Chickami - Wayland, MA

Allen & Major Associates, Inc. provided civil engineering conceptual design and master planning services to the West Suburban YMCA for Camp Chickami located at 129 Boston Post Road in Wayland.
The master plan includes a proposed 15,000 SF Recreation Center, a 2,000 SF Activity Building, and a pool expansion. Design features include redesigned basketball and tennis courts, a playing field, an expanded pool area with a spray park, and an amphitheater. Included in the design were additional parking spaces and drive aisle extensions to accommodate the proposed site modifications, including bus and car turnaround locations. The completed lodge building was dedicated in name of a former camp counselor who spent 40 years serving the needs of its campers.
