Located on the former WR Grace EPA Superfund site between Tower Park Drive and Cummings Park, this redevelopment project consists of a 250 room dual-brand hotel, two standalone restaurants and associated parking and roadway improvements along Washington Street.  Extensive permitting included Woburn City Council Site Plan Approval & Special Permit, Woburn Conservation Commission Notice of Intent, Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) Notice of Project Change, Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) 8(M) permit and an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits.

Special considerations of the site included maintaining the existing remediation equipment in place, and preserving a substantial back portion of the site in order to protect much of the existing wetland resource.  A&M designed a stormwater management system which reduced peak flows, provided increased compensatory flood storage, and provided improved treatment of stormwater quality that is a benefit to the site and wetland resources.  Additional improvements include landscaping and the creation of additional wetland resource area.
